Part 3 of My Vietnam Tour :
Whispers in the Clouds: My Journey to Sun World Ba Na Hills

Entrance to Sun World

As the cable car ascended through the misty folds of Da Nang’s lush mountains, I felt like I was being lifted into a dream. Suspended between sky and forest, the world below faded into a tapestry of emerald green, and ahead lay the surreal wonderland of Sun World Ba Na Hills—Vietnam’s mountaintop marvel.

The cable car ride itself was a spectacle. Stretching over 5.8 kilometers, it’s one of the longest non-stop cable car systems in the world. As I glided upward, waterfalls cascaded beneath me, clouds swirled around the peaks, and the temperature dropped just enough to hint at the magic waiting above.

Arrival in a French Fantasy

Shots of the French Village

Stepping off the cable car felt like stepping into 19th-century Europe. The French Village, with its cobblestone streets, gothic cathedral, and quaint cafés, was a surreal blend of history and imagination. I wandered through the Mercure Danang French Village, sipping Vietnamese coffee in a Parisian-style courtyard while street performers danced to accordion tunes.

The Golden Bridge: Hands of the Gods

The Famous Golden Bridge or Hand of the Gods

Then came the moment I’d been waiting for—the Golden Bridge. Held aloft by two giant stone hands emerging from the hillside, the bridge shimmered in the sunlight like something out of a fantasy novel. I walked slowly, savoring the panoramic views of the Truong Son Mountains, feeling like a character in one of my own jungle-based stories.

Fantasy Park & Spiritual Serenity

Next, I dove into Fantasy Park, a riot of color and adrenaline. Roller coasters, VR games, and a dinosaur garden made it feel like a theme park stitched together from dreams. But just beyond the chaos lay the Spiritual Zone—a tranquil space with pagodas, Buddha statues, and quiet gardens. It was a beautiful contrast, reminding me of Vietnam’s deep cultural roots.

Beer Plaza & Ba Na By Night

As evening approached, I joined the revelry at Beer Plaza, where live music, craft beer, and laughter filled the air. The Ba Na By Night experience transformed the hills into a glowing fairytale, with lanterns, performances, and a festive buzz that lingered long after sunset.

Sun World Ba Na Hills wasn’t just a destination—it was a layered narrative of fantasy, culture, and nature. From the surreal architecture to the spiritual calm, every corner whispered a story. As I descended back to reality, I carried with me not just photos, but a sense of wonder that only places like this can inspire.

After the visit to Bana Hills, we returned to Da Nang City, and from there, we took an Indigo Flight back to Kolkata. That concludes our 5-day tour of Vietnam.

Good Bye for now.See you in my next Travelogue
